Composition #3: Use Flash Outdoors

In photo journalism class we learned that even outdoors you should always use the flash setting on your camera to improve your pictures. The flash setting is used in bright sunlight to lighten dark shadows under the eyes and nose, especially when the sun is directly overhead or behind your subject. You should also use flash on cloudy days to brighten up faces and make them stand out from the background.
